Jamie Minnaert
Collections Manager for INHS and University Herbarium and Fungarium Collections
Jamie started as the Collections Manager for INHS Herbarium and Fungarium in August 2014 and July 2018 for the University of Illinois Plant Biology collection. She received a master’s degree in biology from the University of Northern Iowa, where she studied plant systematics working on Physaria. Her research interests include the paleobotany of the Renova Formation. She’s most interested the taxonomy, paleoecology, and the rapid diversification during the changing climate of the Oligocene.
Paul Marcum
Interim Curator
Paul’s research interests include studying the plant communities and floristic composition of natural areas throughout Illinois. He’s also interested in studying closely related species complexes (especially in the genus Carex) using macro and micro morphological characters.
Rick Phillippe
Emeritus Curator, Institute Affiliate
Rick retired as the Collections Manager of the INHS Herbarium and Fungarium in 2014, but has continued working as a curator in the INHS and University plant collections.
